This is the second lot of business shirts that I’ve made with this pattern, so I’ve got the style fitting perfectly now. The final version has shorter sleeves and a longer shirt length. You can also see my first lot of BurdaStyle business shirts online.
I secretly love the checked versions and wear them the most to work. They’re so comfortable, can be made in a number of different fabric types and perfect for summer.
It’s also great when you get approached by colleagues where you purchased them. I had to say, sorry… I made these!! Sometimes it’s nice to be unique when it comes to clothing.
I’ve also managed to get the price down by buying my buttons in bulk on eBay. So overall they probably only cost about $15 in materials. Not a bad way to update your work wardrobe!
I hope you enjoy! Happy sewing!
Hi Erin. Your blouses are super cute. Always need plaid blouses. Love that you always make several of the pattern. Easy sew after the first one.lol happy sewing.
