Pattern: McCalls 6992 Jumper
Description:ย A collection of McCalls 6992 Jumpers using designer knit fabric.
Fabric used: The fabric included in most of these were a stretch knit, lace, designer stretch and ribbing for the edges.
The pattern itself was easy to use, understand and follow. I was able to whip these jumpers up in less than an hour each. It’s a great pattern for beginner sewers and perfect for some extra additions to your winter wardrobe!
The pattern photo also comes with a few examples of different fabrics style so I stole most of my ideas from that. It’s just a matter of finding some fun, creative fabrics to combine together.

It was really interesting to see you makes in this pattern. I made up a size 14 which didn’t give me enough ease and gave me a fitted look. Next one I’ll make at least a size larger to get the baggier slouchy look that I prefer. Your fit looks great on you. Did you size up?

Hi Deborah, I made these the size that I would normally make but the material I used certainly changed the fitting on them all. The one that was a thick knit (very stretchy) I found to be the most comfortable. The ribbed type (low stretch) material were more fitted, like you say. Hopefully that helps you when you make your second one ๐ Can’t wait to see them!
